BRUMBY:
"Brumby" means "ferral horse in Australia".
There are no horses native to Australia. Brumbys result
from escaped, or purposely abandoned, domestic stock;
or their Brumby descendants. Anything from 200 years
ago to yesterday.
Amongst some Brumby herds, in genetically isolated areas
(remote, inaccessable regions) may still be found Waler
descendants, without "modern breed" influence.
These can be identified by research and qualified judgement.
All Brumbys aren't Walers, but some Walers may still
be found amongst some Brumby herds.
