Both stallions were obtained from Northern Territory cattle stations with histories of early Waler breeding, no known input of "modern" blood.

His "pedigree" is his heritage, the selected but sometimes unrecorded blood of his ancestors. He is the product of generations of survival testing in a harsh environment, of the natural selection process which culls out all but the most hardy and intelligent.
